Back at it
Well after some time away I have some shots of the progress. The car is now at Zippers shop in grand Junction Colorado. It's such a luxury to have so much space, great resources, and good sound advice. Darrell is an extreme fabricator, and when faced with something missing or broken, always says, well,, let's just make one. I spent about 10 days last month working every day 9 -9, and although I don't think it shows, I did get a lot done, so many small jobs to do.

A project like this is difficult enough by it self, but trying to pull it off from opposite corners of the country is mind boggling. I couldn't have gotten this far with out some real special Guys and Gals, that thought this was the way to go, and helped me all the way. first Greg and Karen Fishel for taking me in and throwing the car party in their garage. Gary and Linda Emory, for their help at Parts Obsolete, Rod Emory and crew at Emory Motor Sports, and Don Marks at Gear Head for their help in the shop. The mysterious and often missing Kevin Anderson for the motor, his buddy Greg LaRue, for the paint, Clint at Rebel Racing for the struts and shocks, and John at Original Fit Interiors We are off to Colorado hopefully to finish this, the band will be there a lot this summer and my friend Darrell Zip at Zipper motors has offered to host the project. Fish you are a Pal. Thank you. Jimmie

Day Eight
Took some time off, Jimmie went home and came back a month later to finish up what he can before the car is trailered to Colorado to see Zipper. Worked on squeezing in the wiring harness and picked up a few more goodies at Gary's. Boxing everything up for the move and completion in Colorado. Tomorrow, will pick up brakes and front S bumper from the painter. kevin is finishing up the 1911 cc type 4 that will go into the car for now and a bigger engine to be built later. Current engine will have 145 HP.

Day Seven
Well, today will be Jimmie last day in the NW until middle of Febuary to finish up on this car, then drive cross country.
We worked on the front suspension and many mishaps, ugh! what a long day but were able to get a lot done. We needed to heat the hubs up in the oven to remove the old bearing ring. And check out those custom made strut towers, very cool.
Jimmie is glad to leave for a while, the rain is starting to get to him, The Moss Man;-)
Thanks again Gary Emory and thanks for the gift.
More later.
Gregg
